Who?

This event is open to current and former Aiken High School students and their parents, teachers, administrators, and staff.

What?

This will be a virtual gathering to view and discuss interesting, challenging, inspiring TED Talks from TED 2020. We will view several TED Talks and then discuss them.

When?

Saturday, August 29, 2020, from 3:30 pm – 5:30 pm

Where?

This will be a Zoom meeting. After you register, you will receive session details.

Why?

We want to learn with each other and from each other.

“Every kid needs a champion”

Rita Pierson, a teacher for 40 years, once heard a colleague say, “They don’t pay me to like the kids.” Her response: “Kids don’t learn from people they don’t like.'” A rousing call to educators to believe in their students and actually connect with them on a real, human, personal level.
