Walk to End Alzheimer’s Info

Here is some useful information for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s this Saturday:

The Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s® is just days away and we can’t wait to see you! Here are some event details to help you get there and enjoy this inspirational event.

Aiken Walk to End Alzheimer’s
Saturday, October 6, 2018
Check-in/Registration begin at 9:00 AM
Opening Ceremony begins at 9:45 AM
2 mile Walk route

Odell Weeks Activity Center (Get directions)
1700 Whiskey Road Aiken, SC

Give yourself time to enjoy our pre-Walk festivities!
Each walker will get a Promise Garden flower to customize with your reason for walking. Be sure to check out our Alzheimer’s Association and sponsor tables… Be sure to wear purple… and sport your “VOICE Against Alzheimer’s” sticker once you visit our advocacy table and sign a postcard to Senator Graham!

Know before you go:

  • We encourage you to wear purple if you can! It’s the color of our cause.
  • Please dress for the weather!  It looks like it’s going to be a hot, sunny day so consider lightweight clothes, sunscreen, sunglasses, and/or a hat.
  • Everyone needs a paper wristband on Saturday! For those registered before Walk day, you can pick your wristband up at the tents labeled “Already Registered” where you check-in by your first & last name (not your team name). Anyone not already registered before they arrive will be directed to the “Need to Register” tent to sign up and receive a wristband. Of course we highly recommend that everyone joining you registers beforehand on our Walk webpage!

Thank you again for signing up for Walk to End Alzheimer’s. We can’t wait to walk with you on Saturday!
