Sock Project October 2020

October 13, 2020

Dear Aiken High School Rotary Interact Club Hero,

Did you know that one of the most-needed items homeless people request is new socks? It’s true!

That’s why, along with another Rotary International sponsored student service organization, Rotaract at USCA, the Aiken High School Rotary Interact Club is collecting NEW pairs of socks for children, teens, and adults throughout this month.

Please drop off socks at the Aiken HS main office on or before October 29, 2020. Sign up to let us know you will be donating, please. – https://www.signupgenius.com/go/60b0b45afa623a0f94-sock

We are donating to the Aiken Salvation Army Shelter on Monday, November 2nd.

Thank you,

Salvation Army Soup Kitchen

August 5, 2020

Dear Aiken High School Rotary Interact Club Heroes,

Our local Salvation Army soup kitchen needs our support!

They just posted this online:

Our soup kitchen is in need. We have been serving to-go meals daily since the beginning of COVID-19. We are running out bottled water and to-go containers. We could also use your used plastic grocery bags.

Address to donate these items is The Salvation Army Shelter on 604 Park Ave Aiken SC. Thanks in advance.

We would like to thank the Aiken Rotary Club and Just Julies for their continued support of meals!

If you want to serve others, here’s a perfect opportunity to do so, Interact Hero.

Sincerely,

Appreciation for Salvation Army Bell-ringing December 2019

December 13, 2019

Dear Aiken High School Rotary Interact Club Heroes,

Thank you to all who joined our Rotary Club of Aiken sponsors at this year’s Salvation Army bell-ringing service activity. I know the cold, wet, windy weather was a challenge, but you guys were cheerful and friendly despite uncomfortable conditions. I appreciate your good attitude and your taking part in a worthy cause, even when it is inconvenient to do so.

Maybe next year, the sun will be shining.

Sincerely.
